I retired in 2001 in Colorado Springs, CO. and moved to N.C. to be near my and grandchildren. They live 10 miles away and I see them several times a week for short visits. I am not physically active because of a bad back, but I do work in retail part time around 15 hours a week. I enjoy reading, watching movies, being outdoors, being on the lake (don't own a boat) spending time with friends and my computer. I am not a quiet person, I have a good sense of humor and am easy going. I am a pretty good cook, although since I live alone I rarely do cook, and rarely get lonely, and am quite independent. I enjoy driving up to New York to see my sons and my sister several times a year. I especially love the ocean and the smells and sounds associated with it and love to just sit in a chair and watch the waves.

My Ideal Person
I am looking for a kind man, who likes animals and kids and other people, who has a good sense of humor, who believes in God and is honest, respectful and thoughtful.
I would enjoy meeting someone who likes the things I do, is independent and self-sufficient, but still enjoys the attentions of a woman. I would prefer a non-smoker and someone who enjoys a drink, but doesn't drink all the time.
Most of all, I would like to meet someone who could "fit in" with my friends and family occasionally and who has interests of his own. Looks are not that important at this point in life. Neatness and cleanliness are important to me.
