I am thoughtful and kind-hearted, though sometimes impulsive. Quiet but intense.
I like to talk about almost everything, from abstract physics to abstract art, from big ideas to mundane observations. I often look up -- at the moon, stars, clouds -- and also down -- at the bugs and bees, the grass and clover -- and everywhere in between, and am frequently awed by the world's natural beauty. I am also sometimes dismayed by humans' poor treatment of our world and each other, but prefer to focus on my own behavior, rather than to worry about others'.
I enjoy all of my senses, and all of them are important to me. I've already mentioned talking and seeing. My ears are very sensitive, and I enjoy all sorts of music. In a physical relationship, touch might be paramount, and in so many different ways: the fine details one can discover with fingers and lips, the more general comfort of spooning, the weight and sheer physicality of a partner's leg on my hip, . . . Taste and smell matter, too, although it's hard to be specific; they're such pre-verbal senses. I like herbs and spices, sweet and salt, soap and sweat.
Fair warning: I'm afraid that 40 years of smoking has taken its toll on my health. I'm nowhere near as vigorous as I once was. But it's only my lungs that are damaged. My heart is healthy, and my limbs all function well. I just have to take things slowly, which on reflection, might be a nice way to take them.
