I just read a reply by mrsjoe in the magazine that brought me back down to earth about the glitch here in blog land. The photos are just a part of it, we also get to do interesting blogs about "Life.....family, feeling, pets, grand , ANYTHING...even with the glitches" (but not political postings).

Sure many people here not paying members but there are many that are and they have a right to be grumpy. But lets show a little bit of that tolerance and patients we (almost all of us) say we have and write some interesting blogs. Ya ya, a picture is worth a thousand words, but we can still write 40 or 50 words that can express our photographs in our minds....... Just look at Alfie's, He posted nothing and still made a few of us laugh and comment.

So what do you say, dust of those keys and drop a blog. Hugs to you all and be PATIENT.

Thanks mrsjoe for that ray of light.

Psychic bond Part II

My and I were very close in his formative years, we made things together like kites, model cars, forts, taught him sports, got involved in school projects(I would help him build his projects). When I went to the store or other places, he would tag along. Of course he had his play mates and did his own thing more often than not. We like the same things like astronomy, photography, history, camping, hiking, and we enjoy talking to each other and get into deep discussions

We never noticed any thing odd, but 15 years ago the family finally came out and told the two of us that we are freaking them out. We act and talk alike. We finish off each others sentences, come up with the same ideas, speak the same things at the same time. Like watching TV or a movie we will make identical comments at the same time. We have bought the same gifts for people. They think we are more like twins than father and . We support each other and when either of us has a bad day, the other is there to help.

Since this revelation by the family, I have to agree with them. My and I are so much alike it is scary, but I would not change it for the world. As for mrsdinty, when my and I are sitting there watching TV, news or other programs and we come out with the same comment at the same time, she just looks at the two of us with that "not again" look, smiles and shakes her head from side to side. And when it happens I just say to myself,"that's my boy"

A psychic bond beyound comprehension Part I

I believe the psychic bonding started with the conceiving of my . It all started three or four weeks before my wife found out she was pregnant.

One night I awoke to find a small bright white light at the foot of my bed. I felt no fear, but was unable to move or speak. The light was there for a few moments then it was gone. A few nights later I awoke to find the same light and the same feelings. This went on for several weeks and was soon concluded to be sleep paralysis but without the terrifying experience.

It continued to happen but I noticed the light began to become larger each time it appeared and began to take form. The more time passed the larger and more shape the light took on. It actually had a calm effect on me.

Two months before her due date my wife had to go south due to an RH factor and possible complications with the birth. I was unable to to go as I had my job and could not leave. So my wife and our two girls left to stay with my wife's parents.

The family was safe down South and were settled in. According to the Obstetrician every thing was going along as it should. Meanwhile I was on my own and with every three or four nights having the bright white light as a visitor, growing larger and taking form which seemed more and more a human shape. Then on the early early morning of Jan 10th the light was again at the foot of the bed. It was formed with no features but very white and throbbing and seemed to expand an then it flashed and was gone. At 9pm my mother in-law called to say my wife had a health little boy. From that time on, I have not seen that light or had sleep paralysis.

As Grouch would say, "part two to follow"

I'll tell you what kind of music gets on my nerves.

I saw this question on a blog that I don't open because it is always political or about guns, but there is also music that turns me off too.

What gets on my nerves is (if you can call it music) especially Gangsta and also SMUT music, ugly songs promoting sex, violence and death. What also turns me off is the people who promote and sing this type of music. Live is to sort to waste my time on that crap.

Please try to answer only about what kind of music that gets on your nerves. Thank you.

Who left the door open

We all have, well I think we all have, a Black Sheep of the family. The black sheep of my family was my second oldest brother Al. He was a free spirit who would leave home for long periods of time and wander all over the place. An adventurous you might say, with no means of support. A free spirit for sure, until he got married once or twice and settled down.

Anyway, he would leave home on an adventure and just before he would come home, the back door of the house would open on it's own. No pop or spring open, but that slow creaky open like . The door would open someone would get up and close it, hours later it would open again. Heck, you could lock the door and it would some how open itself. I remember the first time that dad locked the door after a series of openings. He sat down after locking the door and started reading the paper. The door started to creak open and the paper dad was reading slowly came down in time with the creak, as he peered over the top of his glasses at the door he said "I thought I locked that damn thing " When ever the door opened on its own Mom would always say Al is on his way home. Sure enough in four or five days Al would wander back through the door and take up where he left off, and the door would stop opening on its own. Until the next time Al would wander off that is. Strange I know, but true.

The rocking chair

Ever since I can remember and before that, we had an old rocking chair. Made of wood of course. Two tone brown, the seat and back were a little lighter in color than the rest of the chair. It seemed to sit in the corner of the front room. Not always in the same corner, but always in a corner none the less. Momma said she used to rock us in it when we were fussy. The odd thing about it was every so often it used to rock all by itself. Not every day but once in a blue moon.

Nothing caused it to move, it would just move. The chair could be empty or have a piece of clothing on the back or something on the seat and for some reason, night or day, it would slowly start rocking. No one paid any attention to it except to maybe to say "it's at it again" and then they just went on about doing what they were doing. It might rock for a moment or two or go on for hours. I did ask my mother about it once, but all she said was "it came that way". I have no idea where it is now, but that chair was still in a corner of the room when I left home and some times it would still rock by itself.

When is a read only blog a read only blog?

What is a read only blog? When should a read only blog really be used?
I propose when it is a statement, conclusion or a fact. You may have a different idea what it means. Certain ones I have seen lately ask, pose or represent a question which require a debate or answer.

Do you think the person who is posting excessive read only blogs knows what it means or is the person just pretending to be uneducated, or does the person know everything and finds debate unreasonable?

Mrsdinty took this photo earlier today before I left for work. Running out of places to put the snow. The fence is 4ft, and the snow is about a foot over that. Two more inches to fall over night.
Think I would rather be at the pool with marylou.

Starting tomorrow we go back to portion/sensible eating but today was last day of sinful food.

Mrsdinty made a prime rib roast cooked low and slow and Yorkshire pudding, crisp but soft inside, and drippings gravy. An outstanding job because it was perfect. I chose baked potato with sour cream and onions, then buttered cauliflower and caramelized sweet potato's. No room left for homemade Cherry Cheese Cake, maybe later tonight. All I can say is, OMG it was the best I have had.

Happy New Year to you all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the poor folks who are still suffering the effects of the North East Ice Storm. I hope every thing will get back to normal as quick as possible. Having gone through that type of storm my family and I can only wish you a speedy recovery and hope there is little damage to property, those things can be replaced. Keep warm and healthy is the main thing.

Best wishes and (((hugs))) to you all.
