My dishwasher needed a good cleaning. I called a fellow to clean all the traps and filters and asked him to bring one of the lovely cleaning tablets that takes all the scale and grunge out leaving the whole thing looking new. We shall call it part of spring cleaning.
Not long after the Handyperson leaves, they return with a truck load of chairs in need of light refinishing that match my newest dining set perfectly.
Some of you know, i raised 9 , three of my own and six stepchildren. My tend to pick on me because I have a thing for salvage. I am always finding some broken treasure and rescuing it from the landfill. I have currently seven complete dining sets, all but two are in storage. I do sell them. I refinish them and when I am not working, I (well) work. I glue, I change, I recover and I refinish until one by one the sets are gorgeous.
There will soon be 12 lovely matching chairs for the new dining set. Only eight will be left about the table, the rest stored for days when all the tribe shows up. They will pick on me for the latest set, they will also be glad for the seating during dinner and games.
This time though I am innocent, the Handy person did it!

I had a car in the buy and sells, It is a simple and quick way to sell them. So, I thought. A woman and young man called on the vehicle, apparently needed a loan and wanted information. I had them have the bank call me. I sent the title and vin over to the bank, they approved the loan....easy .....right? The vehicle the woman came in had a dealer plate, the kind for "test" driving, interesting. They did not take much interest in the car, barely drove 50 ft. said they had others to look at. That is all fine, happens all the time in the world of buy and sell.
I may love my fellow human, trust them is a different story. I called the bank first thing in the morning, sure enough the couple had taken out a loan for the purchase price of the car and the bank had put a lien on my vehicle, which I might never have known about. They thanked me for the call, took the lien off and proceeded to follow protocol on the couple.
That is the "new" way to steal cars. Clever, but not quite clever enough.
So seller beware.........Venduer mefiez-vous!

This is Gulliver Lake, I was somewhat astonished to see such a large shipping barge on such a tiny lake. I must explore the other side, there must be something big.

In my humble hamburger and pasty town we have a newcomer. Taj featuring Indian quisine. I can make everything on their menu, but to have someone else do the tough job and be able to relax and enjoy, that was glorious!
I believe they will do well here. They have run out of food every day! This is a good thing.
