Does anyone else like reality shows ?
Been watching this show, and she is down to the final 3. It's nice to put yourself out there and hope for a happily ever after. Now I've found it better not to compare potential partners with ex's or late spouses. putting their parents in a position to find someone, is not a good thing. Ok now the point I'm getting to....2 of the 3 guys it seems like they r just there for the prize. Not until the end of time thing. Also they like being on TV not being in for love. She sent home Jonathan, he seemed to be a great guy. Not a player, and showed some real feelings. I hope she don't get hurt in the process

I was thinking about 9/11. Twenty-three years ago, it is such a sad day ! Thousands of people spent there last days in NY, PA, and DC. They left their loved ones, with the last kiss, hug, and I love U's. I was at work and when I got there, they told me a plane went into the one tower. I rushed to the office and listened to the radio. Another plane hit the other tower. Then a plane hit the building in DC and another plane went down in a field in PA on it's way to DC. Hearing on the news was devastating that the towers came down. All I could do was cry. Days after that, we all got together. Humanity kicked in, I remember standing outside with candles lit and praying together. I remember people collecting stuff and taking donations for our heroes and families from the tragedy. I remember going to a few memorial services held. Seeing all the flowers, letters and such from their loved ones. I know that being a parent and losing a is very hard. But a losing a loved one was hard for me to deal with. How can a understand the Y ????? We encourage our to move mountains. Who would ever think we would kiss our last kiss, hug our last hug, and say our last I love U to them. In minutes and seconds it was done. I think of how vulnerable we were then, and how vulnerable we r now. Right now, we r dealing with wars in other countries, while here in the US we r dealing with our own acts of violence against each other. Our own president doesn't want to do public appearances right now ! Really ????? Not sure if we can be US strong again like we were back then.
Remembering 9/11 sending prayers out to our heroes and loved ones lost. Thank U and all our service people.

OMG I went to bed very late last night (or this morning, should I say) I woke up to Jazz music coming from the park not far from here. Also, grandkid getting ready for a party today ! I got up so fast and got dressed. Got my glasses on and still was foggy in my head ! Who the heck has a party this early or a Jazz Festival at 9am ?????

My life has been kind of the same for many years now. As a I grew up knowing my Mom took care of everything. At 16 I learned Y she did. Only one of 4 siblings that stayed with my father. The first man in my life I couldn't depend on. I learned how to be strong and try to do for myself, I've made plenty of mistakes in my life but, manage to go on. Having my first I learned how to give love and protection. Even getting married I felt like my life is just beginning. Still being me and also taking care of my family. I didn't do the "I want U to do this" thing. However, I thought "we can do this" was better. It gave an option. In some aspects of my life, I have CHANGED to adapt to this crazy place we live in. I had to be nice at work because it was serving people. After me and ex broke up, even before I got along better with men younger than me. (he was) Most older men, I found to be set in their ways, and not wanting to change but wanted the woman to change. Now, if there was a man that I was sure about, until the end of time... I would change some things in my life. So, question #1- How likely being our age, would U be willing to change for ur partner ?
Question #2 How old do U feel is too old for a relationship ? I don't feel like there is anything wrong with having friends of the opposite sex. Friends r very important to enrich our lives. Loving our friends we have.

Y r men so complicated ? Let's start with politics, just for the heck of it ! Abortion for instance... I think abortion is not good. A governor said, "women should keep their dresses down" ! I mean, REALLY ?!!!!! What about guys keeping their zippers up ? Like it's ok for them to hit and run, not pay for a responsibility put upon a woman. And who asks to be violated ???? There r other options besides abortion, but in certain circumstances it might be necessary. Not to be decided by a politician, but by a doctor.
Now moving on ! I am going on 70 years old ! Trying to understand a man is too hard to do ! I feel like no matter what U do, U can't please them. If U say it's a nice day out, they set their mind to that one freakin cloud in the sky ! U make a romantic dinner for them...it's either off with their friends or watching sports. If U try to sit and watch sports with them... it's can we talk about this later, I'm relaxing ? Sometimes we realize that everyday life is rough, and U tell them go and have a good time. They think U don't care. I have a friend that said that a guy I dated was perfect for me because she met him. He was a nice guy, don't get me wrong. But there are very few men that understand my needs for once. I gave my heart to someone. I'm tired of making people happy, and getting hit in the heart with a curve ball !  This is Y I choose not to get in a relationship again.
Sorry I'm venting ! Understanding will go a long way !
