TheBee what kind of toast are you talking about? Is it the bread kind or a drink you use to do a toast? One of my favorite toasts with bread is french toast. I like to use raisin bread to make it or a good sourdough bread is also very good. We have a bakery here that makes a apricot and raisin bread. It makes awesome french toast or it is just good toasted. I was reading on the net to make sure your toaster is very hot and also using thicker slices of bread. Hope this helps.

First, get all your camping gear together, 2 load up the vehicle, 3 drive out to your favorite camp site, 4 spend the day fishing, hiking, having fun, 5 get a good nights sleep, 6 get up and get a fire going in the pit, 7 put on a pot of coffee, 8 take a hotdog stick or camp toaster and toast your bread over the camp fire, 9 butter the toast and add your favorite spread, 10 grab your cup of coffee 11 pull up a camp chair and enjoy the sunrise. It is one of my favorite recipe for toast.

TheBee I have another one for you. When we were kids we ate a lot of cinnamon toast. Of course in those days we only had home made bread and it was heavenly toasted. We would toast the bread in a home made toaster which was made of wire and it was toasted over the open fire. It was then slathered with lots of homemade butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. My mother made hot cocoa to go along with it and it truly was a wonderful treat.
