Wow Sparkle you have a lovely garden. Because we didn't have such a hot summer in July I noticed the Hydrangeas are beautiful this year. The blossoms are huge. I just have mainly pots on my balcony. They are mostly flowers but they did well this year.

Nasturtiums are garden hogs but they are so pretty and colorful.

The pickled buds are much like capers, but better.....I also like the lightly opened buds in salads......

Pleasing visuals :- ) I really like capers - had never thought to pickle nasturtium buds - would be interested in trying out.

I never have tried eating nasturtiums. I never seem to have good luck in growing them. My mother always used to grow them in the window boxes when I was growing up. They were always so pretty. We used to eat a lot of different plants but never nasturtiums. Mom used to grow something called Borage. The leaves had a rough texture to them and we had it in a green salad as it tasted like cucumber. It would add flavor to a salad.
