It should give people food for thought to realize that we have had access to guns for decades, but there didn't used to be school shootings...... so what is different? Also, I think we need to look at other "killings" of our young people...... like all the deaths by guns in our cities like Chicago..... automobile accidents caused by disregard for laws against drunk driving, and texting while driving...... suicides. What are the major changes in the home life in our country? What are the major changes in our society? Politicians are not going to change these things, no matter how many new laws they pass. If people who have killing in their heart, and they can't get a gun, they will use a bomb or a knife or a car. Perhaps the problem isn't the weapon of choice, it is the hearts of people? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Yes, you think that the healthy way to teach a child to respect others is to disrespect them and use violence to get their attention.......Your parent's methods that you now advocate probably contributed to the present social situation that you decry ......no, they definitely did......as your attitude demonstrates every day.
