 Hi Very: This is a unique and very simple 'religion', although why it's called a religion is confusing. All Buddhism is about really is to make sense of and cope with all the suffering in the world, to try your best to be a good person, to care about other people. All suffering in the world comes from desiring and hoping and praying for things to be different than they are.

Since there are no gods and no people to worship, anyone can be a Buddhist including people of all religious denominations and atheists.

 I haven't studied Buddhism, but from what I have read, it seems to suggest that a person be at peace with themselves and nature.

I like that concept.

 As others have said it is a way of life that brings peace and understanding to life. It helps rise above the every day and puts things in a more universal perspective.
