I can now SPEAK my mind! I am back to talking. Thank heavens. I was told to begin slowly. I hope I have done that. I found that it was harder at the beginning. I got used to not speaking to some degree. My family decided that based on my handwriting, I should have been a doctor. It was an interesting experience that I hope not to repeat. It did make me realize that perhaps I need to spread out my talking. We take our voices for granted, but sometimes we learn that we may be in a situation where we can't voice our opinions if it requires verbal communication. It is a tough but important lesson to learn. Don't take SPEAKING your mind for granted. Thanks again for all your support and encouragement during my 10 days of silence. Have a great week everyone!!! My voice needs to take it easier than I let it. I agree with you, I may have to let it rest from time to time. My boyfriend didn't enjoy it. He had to use Messenger to communicate with me, but to his credit, he did. My sister said she enjoyed it and yet wasn't too happy having to read my writing. Thanks for your comment, Pat. Elaine Shuel

Thanks Maisie. I got a laugh from your comment. i will admit there were things that happened during the 10 days, that would have stirred me up. It made me realize how easily one could strain one's voice. I need to pay more attention to that. Elaine Shuel

Thanks RosesLady. The job that caused this and other jobs that strained my voice, I am no longer doing. My big problem was taking care of my mother. I made notes for her instead of saying what I always did. I am continuing trying to watch what I do but I spoke to friends too much today. I can't tell your coworker what to do since her job requires talking on the phone a considerable amount of time. Elaine Shuel
