Have YOU ever been to a SFF bash???

We have been to several bashes in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee.

We have made great friends and are still in contact with them.

Too bad you haven't gotten off your high and attended one or more. You would feel different

I would suggest that everyone block her/it, if there were no blogs for her/it to read it wouldn't be able gain ammunition with which to attack bloggers and would surely stay away.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

No, but I wish I had, they looked like so much fun!

I swear, my horse is big, but I wouldn't consider him a high horse, average height at 15.3 hands.

I realized at the end you were referring to the blog hog.

So if we block a person we won't see their posts at all? That would be nice to come in and not have to sift through the garbage.

Joe and I have been to many bashes and small gatherings with people from SFF and others we met online. We also met some at just one on one meetings, as we traveled through their areas or they through ours. Bigblock and his wife are a prime example of that. We became good friends and would meet up a least once a year until his and Joe's health issues prevented it.
We have met more people than I can remember, and several of them have become friends that we keep in touch with on the phone, letters and cards, email, and online comments like this.
I started out keeping a little notebook of people we had met, but after I filled several pages of it, and then was seeing folks for the second and third time, I stopped keeping it. There were over two hundred names in it at that time.
Just in those that have commented on your blog so far, we have met Rocketship and you.... and of course, Alfie! LOL.

Unfortunately no, can't do that in the blogs. Just have to scroll on past them, which if the numbers mean anything at all, most people do.
Plus, the name changes so fast that it wouldn't be possible, but they are easy to spot.

Well dang it anyway! Would have been nice if that did happen.

When you block someone by name it also blocks their IP address. So no matter how many times they change their name they are still blocked.

That used to be true, Alfie, but with the newer technology, there is a program that changes your IP address constantly, so it isn't possible anymore.

I just put the blogs worth reading in my Watch List. Unfortunately (They) the politically correct term for someone with an undetermined gender) change their profile faster than they get deleted. I don't have to deal with them on my Watch List.

Unfortunately, my financial realities don't allow me to attend as many bashes as I would like. I did attend the Reno gathering when I lived in the area. I do know how to travel on a shoestring budget to a point. I have plans to attend the Biloxi gathering.

I certainly hope both you and we can make it to Biloxi. I would love to meet you in person!

Those big ones were quite the event, weren't they? Joe and I got where we enjoyed the smaller ones even more than the big bashes. A group of 10-25 people was a good size.
I didn't get to meet you at the meet and greet at Commop's but Joe did. We had only been dating a short time and he had previously invited Halfbreed. She offered to back out, but I told her that we would still pick her up and take her home. I couldn't get off work, so Joe went without me, but he took me to meet Commop and Granny ahead of that weekend. I was sorry to not get to meet you and Satire. I think Cub's Fan was also there, wasn't she?
Too bad it ended so tragically for Commop, getting twisted up in her dog's leash and falling.

Banning/blocking this individual, whoever this troll is, is useless as they can read any blog he/she wishes once a new profile is created. I automatically ban this person on principle, so whoever is behind the profile needs to create a new one to read my next blog post.

Years ago I used to belong to another site that hosted events. We had a bloggers bash in Vegas and in 2006 we had another one in the Netherlands, Holland/Amsterdam.

Don't quote me on it, but I believe I heard that Satire has passed away. I can see how he might have been the "crowding" type person.
Commop was lucky that Granny9 was there and able to take her for medical attention after everyone had gone. Granny often went to visit Commop, and she was there for a week before the event and stayed to help her afterwards.
Commop now lives in Florida nearer to her family there. Granny9 has been gone for a few years. BTW, she was the first SFF person I had met (after Joe) and we often met up at luncheons in the Joliet area that Plano (who is also gone) put together. It was at one of those luncheons we announced our engagement and Granny9 attended our wedding.
