Earthytaurus this is for you I ran across the recipe you posted 6/14/2020 for Cranberry/nut bread so off the store to buy cranberries. I found fresh ones! Yesterday I made and WOW!!! is a keeper! We had our first slices this morning and both Alfie and I loved ! I just wanted you know how much we both enjoyed . |

I make banana nut bread a lot........is my grandma's recipe and a favorite.

I took the rest of the cranberries and put them in a freezer bag and they are in the freezer. We both look forward to more Cranberry Bread!

Does anyone want a Grape Nut Bread recipe my Grandma H. and Mom would make and I use it a lot also? It is a really old recipe. It makes 2. Earthy I said it was a recipe you posted and the date 6/14/2020. We will be having it again for breakfast with fruit and fruit juice. Alfie really liked it so that is a plus

I went back and found Earthy's recipe for Cranberry/Nut Bread. I will have to try it as I have some cranberries in the freezer. I will substitute the sugar for Splenda though.

Here is my Grandma's recipe. VERY old! BANANA BREAD 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening Add 2 beaten eggs 2 mashed bananas...when peel is fairly brown 4 Tablespoons milk Add 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Bake 350 degrees

I know I put how long but it didn't make it....it is 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
