While I don't dispute the facts in this blog, I don't think it points to a direct causation, but a roundabout one that was better highlighted in your other blog about the demise of family values.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

It certainly IS a good rebuttal of those pointing the finger at the NRA.

I'm a gun owner. I also think the NRA should shut the hell up about politics in the USA. Of course that's impossible because their function is to lobby politicians regarding for gun sales. To say politicians are not bought and sold every day by lobbyists is just ridiculous.

The NRA focus is the make sure that people in the industry don't loose a dime because of government constraints. Looks like a labor union for the gun industry to me ...

I don't see how this blog is relevant to the slaughter by guns that is epidemic in the USA......Other countries have mentally ill people, the left-leaning countries don't have this problem.....Japan doesn't, Britain, Australia, Canada.....the US has imprisoned more of it's citizens than any other country......way more....and have all these mass murder events. It's not because there are more left-leaning mentally ill folks........Do you think the opinions in this blog are helpful in ameliorating the problem of gun-deaths in America?......Or is it all about Maisie being Right......some kind of vindication of your beliefs....???

The NRA is more of a problem to themselves than others. As in any group you will find some who forget to follow rules and regulations in handling and cleaning firearms and shoot themselves.

The shooter this time was all over the internet. People knew about him. He was even reported to the FBI and he still succeeded. This guy is a textbook example of EXACTLY what the Republican Party and the NRA called a "mental health approach" to gun control ... and that was what two years ago!

Republicans have had plenty of time to implement their mental health approach to gun control but they chose not to. They chose spend their time trying to repeal Healthcare and grubbing tax dollars for themselves, their families and friends .

A court order could have confiscated this shooter's guns as well as block any future gun purchases. Would this have stopped him? Maybe. Maybe not.

So for failing to do anything at all ... I say to Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress ..this one's on you.

The world is not made up of extreme lefties or extreme righties there are billions of moderates.
It's obvious that you and maisie think only in extremes... and that's where your argument falls down.

And if the FBI had interfered without any proof of a crime, you'd have accused them of being "lefty fascists"!
