 Maybe in the US.

Up here in The Great White North it's the crypto-fascist Conservative Party of Canada currently in power that is trying to silence people.

They tried to silence scientists working for the feds.

Now they are trying to scare anyone who opposes Israeli treatment of Palestinians by floating a trial balloon suggesting that criminal charges could be laid against those who advocate boycotting Israel.

Canadian hate laws require a very high standard of proof for conviction, so this is never going to fly.

This is just the latest example of Harper and his minions shooting themselves in foot simply out of ideology.
