Image of a Winter Morning in Dhaka Dhaka, the city where I currently live, is enveloped in a misty embrace each winter morning. This year’s winter is no different from last year’s. The fog transforms Dhaka into a magical wonderland every morning, cloaking the city in the enchanting haze of winter once again. We will continue to enjoy the season of jackets and layered clothing until the arrival of spring—the undisputed king of new beginnings in my homeland—in the next fortnight. Below is a photo taken by Shahrear Kabir Heemel on a winter morning, showcasing a tree-lined street in Dhaka and allowing everyone to appreciate the vibrant colors and hues of winter. I hope the site will continue to feature my blog as usual. .

The blog is here and I just read it. That picture looks like it was taken on a very cold morning, was it?

Although winter is NOT my favourite season I can only imagine from your description above that it must have some redeeming qualities. I can’t wait for spring to arrive. Counting the days until the warmth returns.

The season I like the most after spring is winter! As for the fog, I find it soothing and romantic. One time, my first husband and I were staying on the other side of a city from the river. I talked him into going down to the riverside seating area in the fog. I found it extremely romantic and could have sat there for hours. After a few minutes, he complained of the cool dampness, so we left. The next time we visited that city, we stayed at a riverside hotel so I could sit outside on the balcony and he could relax inside. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Hmmmm. My friend, on this we disagree! Winter has never been my favorite season, although I tolerated it more when I was younger. Right now, we are having the "January thaw". It's an unseasonal warm time that seems to occur every winter. I think it is to tease us before the cold blasts return. As for the fog, I find it soothing and romantic. The farmers bring home harvested crops during this period from the farmlands. Festivals, such as Nabanna Utsab, Poush Mela, Pitha Utshab, and Sakrain, celebrate this season with food, music, dance, and cultural activities. Mrs. Joe, I must tell you that winter is also the wedding season in Bangladesh. Stay cheerful, dear friend. Take care.
