Those wonderful nights!
She refuses to accept my words Her answer, at once, when I stare upon – 'No, no, and no.' More I say 'Gone is the night – The lamp turns dim' Her answer, at once, looking at my face – 'No, no, and no.'
Bewildered and overwhelmed with the crazed winds Spring runs amok in forests bursting with flowers
The more I say, "Well, I must go". Her answer, at once, blocking the door – 'No, no, and no.'
English translation of Tagore Song

Yes, dear Archer, that sounds nice. However, this song was written by the first Asian Nobel Laureate in Literature in 1913, and he is Bengali like me. I hope you are doing well. Stay safe.

This is a love song in Bengali. Tagore wrote the song "O Je Mane Na Mana" in 1909. The song is about a loved one of a loved one. Click " O Je Mane na mana" on the net and listen to the music, dear Rocket. Listen to the male version, I like to listen to the song " Baby It's Cold Outside" by Dean Martin. He is one of my favourite singers. I believe you will be back in BC by now. Take Care, dear friend.

Dear friend Koffla, There was a time when I used to watch Seinfeld episodes on TV, and I enjoyed most of them. This love song was written in 1909. I first heard it one morning in 1948 when my next-door neighbor, a girl, was singing it while playing the harmonium. Please don’t be sorry. Thank you for your post.

Since Joe passed away, I can't seem to listen to love songs. Brings back too many nostalgic memories of him and my first husband.
Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Joe was a fortunate person, just like your first husband. Both of them cherished your touch throughout their lives. I am sure that every word they spoke was sweet to you. These words are memories, and such sweet memories never fade. Both of them cherished you deeply, just as you loved them. Take care of yourself. Stay cheerful always, Mrs. Joe.

Maudie, you have spoken correctly. The song is undoubtedly heartfelt. Whenever I listen to it, I am taken back to my childhood when my next-door neighbour girl would sing it every morning. Take Care, dear Maudie. Have a pleasant time.
