Cloudburst or Opening the floodgates ?

Bangladesh's southeastern region is facing its worst flooding in history, impacting millions of people. The situation was aggravated further when the Indian authorities opened the gates of the Dumboor Reservoir in Tripura for the first time in three decades, releasing massive volumes of water into the already rain-soaked region.
"It’s understandable that the decision to open the gate after 31 years was driven by the relentless heavy rains battering Tripura. However, the most unfortunate aspect of these events is the glaring communication gap between the two neighboring countries, who share many common rivers." The Indian high commissioner in Dhaka said that the Dumboor Dam mouth has opened automatically. Due to height, the water has overflowed

I post hereunder some pictures of this devastating flood for the readers to view.

Koffla, my dear friend, it's impossible to describe the situation in words. Continuous cloudbursts, along with water released by India from the Dumboor Reservoir, have devastated the lives of millions of living beings - humans and non-humans.

Looklook I'm so sorry to hear about the massive flooding. I hope you are in a safe location as you wait for the flood waters to recede and that in the meantime you are able to receive supplies. I hope this terrible situation resolves soon.

A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!

"We share 54 rivers with our neighbour, India. They have constructed some dams upstream on these rivers to divert water during dry periods and open the floodgates of these dams to release water during the rainy season, mostly without prior notice."

Dear Friend, Rocketship, I'm doing well. I live in the city of Dhaka, which is a safe area, but disasters still affect city dwellers like us.

Yes, dear shartaun, we are all well. Both forest fires and flooding are the worst kinds of disasters. I feel so sad when such fires engulf your part of the world.

Hi Looklook, good to see that you and your family are safe and well. How awful it is for all those unfortunate families who are so badly affected from that dreadful flooding. So many terrible disasters in this world is truly frightening. Take care, Looklook. .

"Pearls, thank you for your message. I currently reside in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Despite being far from the flooded areas, the sun has been absent in the last few days. While the flood waters have begun to recede in some places, the process is slow. I hope you are doing well."

What devastation! Even though you might be safe from the flooding, I'm sure the effects of it will affect everyone in your country.

Thank you, Maudie, for your message. Thousands of families in the flood-affected regions are now displaced, with significant damage to property, crops, and infrastructure. I heard that India also opened 109 floodgates of the Farakka Barrage last night. This action may cause flooding in the northern parts of my country. Take care and stay safe.

The feelings, you expressed, dear Archer, are mutual. Your silence makes me worried too. Nature seems to have gone wild everywhere. I no longer have faith in weather forecasts! I could have posted many photos depicting villagers trying to wade through the flood waters or trying to save their belongings from the onrushing waters. Take Care. Have a pleasant time.

So true. You are right when you say that the effects of such natural disasters are not limited to the people directly facing the onrushing waters. It affects the entire population of the country. I hope you are well. Take care of yourself, dear Mrs. Joe.
