The rain often helps people to sleep, it doesn't usually help me, but I do enjoy it. Lately, since the murder of my son, I find solace in it.... like the sky is also crying along with me. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Katy, I am delighted to read from you here on my blog page. Tagore's poems and or songs are difficult to translate into another language though Tagore himself had translated some of his works into English. Gitanjali ( Song Offerings ) is a collection of poems translated into English from Bengali by Tagore himself. He was awarded Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 for this particular work. By the by, I take this opportunity to let you know that Tagore and Yeats were close friends. Stay well and safe always, Katy. ..

Katy, thanks for your above post that has surely made the commentary page of this blog informative and interesting readable matter. As far as I know, Tagore's statue was unveiled in Stephen's Green in the year 2011 by the then India's External Affairs Minister, Praneet Kaur, and the then Irish Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore. The Statue was the work of award-winning sculptor Gautam Pal. Please feel free to post the title at your convenient time. Take care and stay safe.
