TRUE LOVE

I grew up a Catholic in a community of Catholics. When I was about twelve or thirteen I met an older man who was Yiddish. He told me this story and I felt it in my heart.

Forty days before a male soul is born-- God announces who his perfect mate would be on earth. The Angels celebrate.

The male soul and the female soul are born. When they grow up and if they unite they are literally the perfect match. A match made in heaven.

In my mind-- if God has given me a "perfect match" -- it's the responsibility of the male to find me.

I'm a romantic at heart.

I still believe!

If love is blind then maybe a blind person that loves has a greater understanding of it

Hi Spunky: Years ago when I saw an old couple walking arm in arm, I assumed they had been together for years. Now I have a sneaking suspicion they might have just met in some online dating group.

I love the story. Remember though soul mates come in many forms, not just romantic relationships.

Bijou's comment reminded me of a funny thing that happened to me a few years ago. I was out with someone I had just met. I guess becasue we were "old" people assumed we were an old married couple. Someone commented to me "Your husband is a live wire". He answered something like "This is only our second date" The lady just kind of looked at us in awe, like she had no idea this sort of thing happened.

I love that spirit! I can't even imagine having a "husband" again. I remember when a wife was the only thing in the world I wanted to be.

Now I'm so comfortable with myself-- it would have to be someone who would just have that special "something" that we could put together to make things work.

It takes such an effort to make that older "secure" relationship happen-- I wouldn't want someone who would not commit to it the way I would.

I definitely believe God found the perfect match for me. We weren't meeting anywhere so I joined a dating site to shut my galfriend up. It took awhile, almost 2 years.

God DOES know what and who he wants for us!

Yes Ann Yes he did find a wonderful man for you. It didn't hurt that he added in a great shed to go with him either!
