Fahrenheit 451 a burning decision

Is it time to step into the future? I guess so. Just finished another mystery/adventure book and was putting it up on the shelf with the many others I have read in just under the past year and a half and said to myself WOW look at all the books, and these are just a part of my enjoyment reading. I did a quick calculation and came up with (not including Tax) $1890.00.

I told mrsdinty and she suggested e-book over hard copy and save big time on the cost of a book. Still looking at pros and cons and the pros have a big lead for e-books. Well, I am going to try it. I still want the feel of book in my hands.

What is your choice? Paper or electronic?

Hi Roses...I was reading your comment about paying for books via the e-reader. I think most libraries are on e-books and you don't have to buy anything to read books through there. I have an IPAD but I haven't set it up to read books on it. I guess I am like most folks I prefer a book in my hands or maybe like Pat when I read in bed and it falls time to turn off the light.

I have 73 by ERB, Tarzan, Mars, Venus, Pellucidar, Moon and Land That
Forgot series.
13 books by E.E. Smith, Lensmen, Skylark and Subspace series and 10 books of the Family D'Alembart series written by Stephen Golden which was inspired from a novella by Doc Smith.
What classics these are
Yes, I too could talk SF all day.
Thanks Ranger

I transitioned to e-reader a few years ago for books I read for entertainment. Makes traveling a lot easier and there is no need for storage space. The books remain available once you have bought them.

There are some non fiction books that I want to keep for reference. I get hard copies of those becasue it is easier to mark and find the parts I will be referring back to.

Hey Spirit...You can also adjust the size of print, at my age that is a good thing. Yes, I will continue to keep hard copies of text and how to books also.
