 An albino? I understand all species have them even if we never see most.

Hey Spirit, not an albino, albino's normally have red eyes, a lack of pigment. These gophers had black eyes, some black guard hairs and black claws.

I wrote a blog about it last year, White gophers are very rare, even more rare that albino gophers. Went back this year and they were all gone. The Fish and Wildlife Officer had never seen one before.
