Her new adventure begins.

I just saw the Mrs off to her last day of work. Today she retires and her new adventure begins. We talked about it at length over the past few months and she has things and projects arranged. No, it is not going to be all housewife things, but more of what she can enjoy herself with time at hand. I just know I am going to be tired helping her with this yard work and garden stuff that is planed. With the projects she wants me to make, who needs a job jar. I am now armed with plans for planters, bricking around the fruit trees, small(in height)garden fence to keep the dogs out, a gardening cart, and the list goes on. With the big dump of snow we had this past weekend, she still wanted to go to the local green house and get supplies to start her plants. Thank gosh the roads were not recommended to travel on. And now I will tell you why.

The plan today is see her off to work(one down) and get the house straightened around(in progress, just having coffee and doing this blog). The dogs and I will wrap her presents. Cheap me got her a gift certificate to Parkland Nurseries and Garden Center. K.C. got her a temperature controlled self watering plant tray, peat pots, window stand and a "How to Garden" book. Chuppie(short for Chupacabra) got her garden gloves, kneeling pad, set of garden tools, sun hat, and a good pair of garden shears. Chloe got her a portable green house with a zipper door six or eight shelves, a hand held garden sprayer(it pumps up and you pull a trigger to spray) sun glasses, sunscreen, insect repellent and a box of mixed band-aids.

I plan to meet her at the door of Costco with a big bunch of Carnations(her favorite) and balloons when she gets off work, then take her out to supper. Leanne will get the gifts and cards when she gets home. No I did not forget the seeds, she wants to get all that stuff herself. Tomorrow or Sunday we are going to the garden center.

Looks as though you have prepared the groundwork for her retirement. Hope she enjoys it.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.
