They're Back The swallows that is, even if this isn't Capistrano Last year some swallows moved in, built nests, raised the next generation then left. We had never had them here before. I wrote a couple of blogs about them and posted some photos. I wondered if they would return here or to their old nesting if the conditions that drove them out of their old area had changed. I will wonder no more. When I went to the pool today they were there building new nests exactly where they built last years, only there are more birds and more nests. It looks like they wintered well, where ever that is. I will get to enjoy watching the nesting phase of their life cycle once again. These little guys have amazing built in GPS systems. I just love watching the birds Spirit. We regularly put out feed for them so we can sit out on the back porch and watch their antics. So much fun! Alfie...
