Photo Monday My World

My world has always revolved around water in it around it or on it. I have many photos of my "water world" but here are a few. I crave being in it as often as possible. As many know I was a competitive swimmer for years. Arthritis keeps me from competing these days and I have had to modify my strokes to accommodate but I still swim my mile 3 - 4 times a week, even if I am getting slower and slower.

Yes, I would like to be in that place at this very moment... so hot here!

Reminds me my hometown, after the flood we all go swimming!

I love your water world and they are a great set of images to illustrate your love of water.

Alfie...

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Hi Spirit........Your world of water pictures are fantastic and being able to swim a mile 3-4 times a week is great.
It is. My regular swims are the only thing that keeps my arthritis in check.

I have a few more including my favorite of me in a 60 degree mt. stream but that was not one I took personally.

Very nice. With the temperature here climbing to 109 today the photographs of water seem very appealing.
I remember summer in Phoenix. Great as long as you don't have to do much outside.

Water feels so good when you are hot. I remember swimming in the rain in humid climates.

I remember when I lived in Toronto. It was the only time I did not live near an ocean but did make due with Lake Ontario. It even had waves and sand!

Swim - doctors tell me to stay far from swimming after I suffered an acoustic trauma in an explosion in 1967 which, to this day, keeps my hearing sweet nothings (lower frequencies) deficient.

That is a good excuse for me to pretend sometimes when I wish to feign not hearing what Lady S tells me .

Enjoy your swimming, SpiritGirl - I do not quite like the plains but love the mountains and the sea.

Water in the ears can definitely cause problems. As for hearing range, I too have an anomaly in that area, only I hear more frequencies than a human is suppose to. As the audiologist puts it I hear things only dogs are suppose to hear."
