It still amazes me that people fall for those scams.

i had an exchange recently with a woman whom I suspected of setting me up for one of those.

But she never asked for money, so I don't know what her thing was.

Her profile on POF said she lived nearby, but she had a New York phone number. When I did a bit of research I found she had lived in NJ, Ohio, and Florida but never in Alberta.

She called me a couple of times and spoke with a heavy Slavic accent, but her emails were written in perfect idiomatic English.

Just one of those mysteries of life, I guess.

I seem to get a bunch of friend requests from fake males on FB and quite a few on SFF. The MO seems to be the same. Military men who can't speak English.
