Foto Friday letter I

I recently took a trip to Victoria and from the plane the view is beautiful. The first pic shows one of the many Inlets streaming throughout the landscape. We arrived at a little town called Inverloch where we stayed in a holiday house at Anderson’s Inlet.

Part of our holiday included visiting Phillip Island which is at the bottom end of Victoria near Bass Striate that separates mainland Australia from Tasmania. The Icy winds from the ocean didn’t deter us from taking a walk around the boardwalk to view the waves crashing against the rocks of the Inlets. Travelling around Phillip Island you can also see many ground nesting birds with their young and the little penguins and while you are on the Island why not take a wild ride on the catamaran out to Seal Rocks where you can see the seals basking on the rocks and playing in the Icy waters. We did and it was great!

Hi Wonderious! As Ane says, "A wonderful beginning to this week's Foto Friday". It must have been winter, going on spring, down there....you mentioned the icy waters. And in a couple of the shots, it looks cool too. Thanks so much for the post. Mike

    Quoting  :

They are all seals on that rock...not a very good picture I know howver the strong wind and rocking boat didn't help my aim...there is a better picture of the seals on egor's blog.

No Ben it's almost summer here though you wouldn't think so. The icy waters are because down there at the lowest point the strong winds were freezing and the water is pretty rough in that area.
