foto friday nastalgia

Terrigal Haven and part of the beach where I used to spend a great deal of my time with friends when I was a . So much has changed since then, the carpark used to be part of a caravan park until the big waves many years ago (can't quite remember when) washed caravans away and left a deposit of huge rocks in its place. The scillion where we used to climb to the top just to roll down the huge slope was up a little further.

Terrigal has now been rebuilt as a tourist spot with a huge motel and all the little speciality shops along the way. So different now from times gone by.

The so-called modern improvements on places such as this never do the locations justice, do they? I feel the same way when I visit places that I loved to go to as a teenager and before I left home for the service. Thanks for the memories...and collage.

What a lovely place.....sometimes progress is not a good thing when it commercializes natures beauty.
