Foto Friday transportation

Pictures:

Top left: The Pasha Bulka run aground at Nobbys head.
Top right: The Queen Mary 2 in Sydney Harbour.
Bottom left: The Southern Cross in a glass front bunker just outside Brisbane Airport.
Bottom right: Tandem joy flights just outside Byron Bay.

The centre picture is the train that travels the Zig Zag Railway at Lithgow. The train leaves Clarence railway station and makes it's way to the bottom of the valley via a track in the form a Z at each bend we have a short stop while the steam engine is shunted to the opposite end of the carriages for the next part of the journey. Lovely Blue Mountain's Valley scenery on the way down and there are some great little picnic areas near each of the stops where you can get off the train, relax for a while and get another train on the return trip. Oh and a word of warning: If you ever get the chance to ride this train don't sit too close to the engine and have the window down. LOL

Hi Wonderious. Beautiful collage of photos. Like Jimbob, I LOVE that gorgeous old steamer -- in her glory once again. Mike

Thanks for looking in everyone.

For those that are interested the train and railway were from the 1800's and has a very interesting history which you can read about on the web by searching Zig Zag railway.
