Tin Love

I never knew love had a gender
Til women made it so.
That Love isn't just the sender
It's about what women know

That men need have a heart
instead of a love token
Then women wouldn't the toll
The cycle could be broken

The Tin Man, he has spoken
"I have no heart in here
The cycle needn't be broken
Just pedal faster dear!"

So find yourself a clock
and time not to care
But listen to the tick tock
A tin man's heart you'll hear

 KNITTING TIME

From a rocking chair, knitting time, beside the hearth
The “purls” of wisdom, the “yarns” of her worth.
But icy winds swirl about, on the outside
As she sews her memory quilt, from the inside

Such storms, she's weathered in the past
Knitting her hopes, that are hopefully her last
Believing her chair would squeak no more
If only hopes, came knocking at the door.

When the winds of an ice storm... decide to rage
It rips through her story...... to it's last page
She hears the sound.... of love fate's laughter
“Tearing” from the last page...
"Happily Ever After"
