I Follow, I Pray, and I cry

The expressions on a solemn or joyous day. Speak to me of a person's way.
As I look upon this inauguration, I am moved to write this declaration

**********

I look for a leader, a man to follow
Someone with substance, and not hollow
A person who won't me allow me lose
Even when I allow someone else to choose.

I will follow anyway.
follow from this day
And if I am to fall
I pray to the God of all.

"Give me faith, in what is right
Show me, the truth and the light
And take away, what I most fear
That I follow a man, who can't shed a tear.

My biased toward Trump has taken, new bounds.

Watching Lee Greenwood sing and other country western artist, singing what many would consider patriotic song. I reflected on the man listening

Many times in what i considered emotional times. I remember watching his eyes, on most occasions, and his facial expressions.

I guess those I've seen in the past. like Obama, could be good actors, fool me. with a tear. But it's my preference that if not the truth, then at least try and fool me.

I can't look at Trump anymore. I see nothing, nothing, nothing.
I see a man, I know has never shed a tear, for any reason.

A young man who went to college with Donald Jr. said that one day a bunch of guys were hanging around in the hallway of their residence when Donald Trump Sr. showed up to take Don to a football game. When father Donald knocked on his son's door Don Jr. opened the door wearing jeans, T-shirt and school sweater. Donald Trump threw his arm back and hit his son so hard in the head that he fell to the floor......His father yelling at him to change his clothes. In a few minutes Don Jr. showed up in a suit and the two walked down the hall through a crowd of staring boys.

I don't hate Trump. I feel sorry for him.

I find it hard someone was born that way. So the story makes perfect sense.

But as I understand a criminal who's behavior can be directly tied to his/her upbringing,. I can not accept it as an excuse. But only accept it as a reason, and feel sorry that he had go through that.

Thank you for your comment.

Since I wrote this poem, I have been thinking about crying., and what makes me cry.

what is it when we shed a tear?

When we are really young , we cry because we are hurt.
WE learn that our crying doesn't bring Mom or dad anymore. And we learn to live with our hurt.

But all crying doesn't stop, we still cry, what changed.

What I believe is that the more empathetic you are, the more crying becomes your out. when we allow others to transfer their pain to us, it allows us to cry. It not the our sorrow and fear, that makes us cry, but the sorrow and fear we relate to in others.
