Doubting Our Very Eyes Let fog be thick in time that fog will lift made clear the skies for everyone to see if now and then a darkness that will drift across the way that troubles you and me. The muddled mind deferring what it will confusion reigns disturbing every dream usurped the peace such anguish to instill one lies awake so no one hears a scream. A gauzy gray descending with the dawn bewilderment will haunt one for a spell while still such rungs upon that echelon the soul will swear it’s in the pits of hell. Let fog be thick in time that fog will rise but for awhile we’ll doubt our very eyes. April 9, 2007 |
