A Vampire's Cure for the" Wah Wah Wah's"

Earlier this week, I had the annual doctor's appointment. I was silently grumbling, and saying to myself. "I know they are going to do some "FiretrUCKING" blood tests AND I am tired of all those FiretrUCKING needles. I have been to the Emergency Room twice for nonexistent heart problems and I've been to Med Express because I didn't want to be gimping around in Philadelphia. At least I don't have to see Mr. Cardiologist for another year. Yee Haw!!!

I should be grateful because there are so many other people who have it much worse than I do but getting older can be mighty inconvenient. So the Lab Tech called my name and I was silently complaining all the way into the room. A young woman approached me and asked "I am in training, Do you mind if I take your blood!"

My response, "Of course, I don't mind. I am always happy to contribute to the success of a young person." She was still in High School, already had her CNA certification and training to be a phlebotomist so that she could support herself while in nursing school.

She missed the vein at the first try thus I held out the other arm and told her, "if at first you don't succeed, try try again!" Dang! She finally got it on the second try.

It is good that she didn't hear the internal conversation that I had with myself earlier.

Although my two trips to the ER were false alarms, my doctor assured me that I did the right thing by going regardless. I see her again in three month. She assured me, no blood tests and after that, I don't want to see her for the rest of the year.

Guess I should be glad that I am not the only one who mumbles and grumbles......... but it doesn't help me any to not be alone. lol.

YOU ARE NICE THAN I AM. NO WAY I WOULD LET A KID DRAW MY BLOOD. THE ADULTS ARE ALREADY BAD ENOUGH!

To me, total ANXIETY is when your new dentist that's wearing coke bottle thick trifocals holdsup the drill tip right in front of that large overhead light and says out loud after looking real hard at it for 40 seconds.

YEP I DID GET THE BIGGEST SIZE DRILL BIT TIP AFTER ALL!!
