phar·ma·ceu·ti·cal ADVENTURES in the West Virginia FREEZE

If all goes well, I will taking the train to Atlanta tomorrow. Last year, I was introduced to the joy of Atrial fibrillation along with allopathic remedies . My insurance doesn't cover the cost of medications outside of West Virginia but luckily i was out of the most expensive one thus able to refill it before going out of state. I was at the pharmacy commenting to another customer in line about the price of the medication and wondering if the doctor got a kick-back for prescribing it

I am anti-establishment enough to consider the possibility of conspiracies. The doctor assured me that if I didn't take the medications, my chances of a heart attack or a stroke would be increased. Que Sera Sera!

I made it home. The first trip, I took groceries to the house. The second trip, I picked up the pharmaceuticals and forgot to lock the car. I am from Los Angeles, I should know better.

I went to lock the car at about midnight when I noticed that the reusable groceries bags were moved to the back while a black purse was sitting in the passenger seat. I checked the inside of the purse hoping to find the identify of the handbag. Suddenly my neighbor popped up on the other side. I asked her if the black handbag was hers. She said no, that she doesn't live at the apartments anymore but can't make it to her new home by herself. I guided her toward my apartment so that we could sort it out. She started heading toward the woods. I guided her back toward the apartment and she went into a neighbor's home. I ran home , grabbed my cell phone, went to the neighbor's abode and called 911.

The woman was confused, disoriented and heading into harm's way. The police and ambulance came and took her away. The cop asked me if I knew where she lived. I told him that I hear her barking next door. So now the is staying at my apartment. Hopefully, the neighbor will be able to take him tommorrow so that I can caught the train to Atlanta.

The scenerio is that she takes Alprazolam aka Xanax for anxiety and this is a drug that addicts like to steal. When a person suddenly stops taking it, it can be really bad for that person. That stuff is evil and poison. I have never know anyone taking it to have good results.

The only reason pharmaceutical companies make it is for money. That is just my not so humble opinion.

I think about how frightened this poor woman must have been being confused, and lost in the freezing cold. I almost NEVER forget to lock my car and I am usually not inclined to go out in the sleet and snow to check it. I hail from Sunny California and Los Angeles. I SHOULD know better.

Was the purse hers? And did you find your medicine? As for the cost, have you checked with the website Good Rx? It has coupons or apps for your phone and can sometimes save you money.
Sure hope you get to go on that trip and enjoy it.

Yes it was her purse. Apparently someone stole her medication and she is suffering the consequences. It is really infuriating.

I was able to get the expensive medication refilled -.Xareal which luckily the insurance covers. I will most likely run out of the Metorprolol but it's only 29.00 so I can handle it. I have plenty of the Cartia so all is well.

This trip was cancelled for Christmas so I rescheduled it for February. If that doesn't work out, I will reschedule it again. That's life.

It was divine intervention that I was able to find the woman and get her the help that she needed. I am usually very careful about making sure that my car is locked and usually don't leave the apartment in cold weather. I left the apartment in cold weather to lock my car and found the woman.

I believe that things happen for a reason.

So glad that you were there for your neighbour and hope that she will be okay!
