Star's Date With Mr. Semper Fi.............. [So this evening I get a call from Mr. Semper Fi. He has a cold and a sore throat so can we do the Fish Fry Thing NEXT Friday. Yeah Sure!!!!! Big Tough Marine. It's more like COLD FEET! So My Options were 1. Stay at Home and Have a Pity Pot Party or............ 2. Go on the Date anyway WITHOUT Mr. Semper Fi. I opted to go without him. I called him for directions because he lives three houses from the Church and told him that I was going on the date anyway and would advise him of the great time that we were going to have. I put the address in my GPS and headed for Lousia. I've never been to any of the 12 Step Meetings in Lousia so there was opportunity. When I reached the Church - one of the Catholic Ladies that I met at Sam's gave me a big hug and asked where my Marine was. I told her that he got cold feet so I went without him but I am going to advise him about the great time that we are having on our date. My people's skills have improved tremendously since I've been Cashiering at Sam's. This was a great opportunity to practice them over some really great Catfish. Later on that evening, I talked to Mr. Semper Fi and he said we'll do the Fish Fry Next Friday. I'm not counting on it. Most likely - I'll be going to Monticello this Sunday BY MYSELF but I'll have to figure out which date, I WON'T be taking with me. |
