Friendship
Last night I went to sleep, filled with gratitude for the friends in my life. They are not superficial, these friends.

It is true that sometimes years go by, with no contact. It does not matter. They are still there, like an invisible web. I know I could call on any of them and their particular wisdom would shine out into the darkness.

How blessed am I, that individuals of compassion and intelligence are woven like strands of gold into the tapestry of my life.
