Our Loss is Canada's Gain Earlier this summer, my niece moved to Canada to begin a new life with the man of her dreams. The following is part of an email I received from her on their move to Canada. Thought I'd share! It was July 7th, the U-Haul was loaded, the dog, who had never left home, was clueless, all of the goodbyes were said, tears were flowing, and we were off on an adventure of a lifetime. From the deserts of Nevada, Reno to be exact, through Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota, we arrived in Fort Frances, Ontario - our future home. With "Canada Dan" leading the way, mom, Carleigh, the barfy dog, and myself, we drove to Bear Pass to our lake home. For the next month or so, we swam, tubed, fished, boated, met lots of friendly people, and unpacked a bit, although our house is still full of boxes. The has adjusted pretty well, but she likes to explore Canada on her own for hours at a time. As for my sister and I, we also have adjusted to life in Canada. We love to swim and I like living in the wilderness. We've seen two bears, some deer, and a bunch of rabbits and squirrels. We have a large garden filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and some herbs, which I think is very neat too. So, what did we do on our summer vacation - we moved from a busy, bustling city in the USA to a quiet little town in Canada and we love it! |

Hi AneMac, my nephew is 10. His biggest concern in school is learning French, the metric system and ending each sentence with eh!
