A Happy Blog.. (keeping in the weekly theme for Leah)

Well.. I'm not sure ya'll will think it's a happy blog.. but I do!!

I am finally rid of my Big Yellow X-Terra.. WoooHooo!! Many of you who have been here a few years know that I bought that thing because of the accident I had which totaled my car 2 months after being down here in Florida.

The reason I bought the X-Terra was that I could not buy a TANK! lol.. and the pure fear that I had of driving again.. so the X-Terra is big enough to see.. and the Bright Yellow was so they can see me coming and not cut me off this time! lol..

But I hated the thing.. and just shy of 2 years now I am finally rid of it!! <<<<---- that is a happy face!!

My new love is a Galant.. The dealer called me on Friday night and asked me to come in..they had a deal for me! Ha! I thought.. yeah right.. but ya know what? They did!!!

Thinking that they wouldn't do a dang thing with that X-terra (because they refused it once before).. I took it to the car wash.. paid for the ultimate spit and shine they give.. and put 10.00 in the gas tank before I headed off to the dealer.. My car was shining inside and out..

To make a long story short.. they took it and gave me a 2007 Galant.. Here is what my car has..

2007 Mitsubishi Galant ES
What does ES stand for? How about "extra stuff". That's exactly what you get with Galant ES. You get all of the great standard features of Galant DE with an extra helping of style.

ENGINE: 2.4-liter, 160-horsepower MIVEC engine

TRANSMISSION: four-speed Sportronic® transmission with adaptive shift control and clutchless manual INTERIOR: air conditioning, power windows/locks/mirrors, speed-sensitive power steering, ice-blue gauge illumination, 140-watt Mitsubishi CD audio system with six speakers and audio information display, six-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support
EXTERIOR: color-keyed side door mirrors, daytime running lights, halogen headlamps with auto shutoff
SAFETY: four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), LATCH system for -safety seats, advanced dual-stage front SRS airbags, front and rear curtain airbags
______________________________
and a few extras.. like the datadots which is a security system if someone decides to steal it.. it has numbers encoded on all parts.. and is registered.. so that each part is traced back to my car.. and there is a thief proof gas tank valve.. which means.. if someone breaks in and trys to steal the car there is a device in the gas tank that shuts off the gas flow.. how cool huh??

I did go in with the idea of getting the Eclipse Spyder.. and I have to say I loved driving it.. but the Galant drives smoother and has a better handle on the road (at least the cars I test drove).. so the Galant was the one I decided on.

The finance guy looked at me and said.. the papers say the color is Satin Meisai.. can you tell me in real color terms that is?? (He needed the first three letters to put on the registration) so I explained the color the only way I knew how..

In woman's terms..lol..

It's silvery with a greenish, blueish hint to it.

He looked at me as though I was the one who wrote Satin Meisai on the paper! lol..

So he said.. is it silver? Green? Blue? lol.. I said .. just put silver.. lol.. the car keys say gray... lol..

oh well.. I guess it just depends on which way the sun reflects off it! lol..

I like my new car.. so please remind me of that when I start complaining about it!! rofl...

Have a great day all..
Gina

OHHHH Pretty nice Silver/Grey/Green/Blue car. I know my cars color is Merlot and is basicly Burgendy but in the sunlight has some fleck of other in it. I think silver doesn't show the dirt as bad as some others. Mine shows dirt very much so have to work hard to keep it washed. Enjoy your new wheels what you didn't say is what is the gas mileage now days that is my hot button. My next vehicle will be a hybred!

robrenee.. yes! Yellow!! lol.. I do love this new car!

Red.. thanks It's fun!

LadyNads.. I love it the place I bought it from.. has given me a coupon book so that all my oil changes and maintenance is free! Also I get a free car wash every week.. as a matter of fact.. I left the lot with 3/4 gas in the tank.. and they said.. instead of topping it off.. come back later this week when you need gas... we'll fill it free for you! The paper says it gets... 22 city miles and 30 highway miles to the gallon..

The other thing I like.. the back seats are in a reclined position! Talk about comfy!!!
