We do like Brussel sprouts, but just with a little butter. I have tried other recipes with them, and although they were ok, we still go back to just plain.
My kids always seemed to like the "expensive" veggies like cauliflower and broccoli, so my husband started raising them in our garden, along with the Brussel sprouts. They did not like the sprouts at all. LOL.

I absolutely love Brussels sprouts...make sure you cook enough for me ET!
I have a slightly similar recipe, but with chestnuts and mushrooms. Lately I've been missing out the garlic because I'm off it at the moment. No doubt my taste for it will return, because I love pasta...especially Alfredo and Polpette also spaghetti with seafood! Yum!

I love Brussel Sprouts. I always have them at Christmas time. This sounds like an excellent recipe to try. I don't have spaghetti very often as I have to watch my carbs. I will save your recipe on my recipe file on my computer. I will join you and your collage of friends from around the world and my choice of wine is a red wine from Mendoza, Argentina.
BTW I make a spaghetti recipe with prawns and fresh tomatoes. It is a simple dish but so yummy. It calls for wine and if I don't have any I use some Remy Martin Brandy in it.

Earthy I prefer my sprouts very simple. I steam them in a little salted water. When sprouts are tender I drain them and add a sprinkle of nutmeg and butter. As long as I can remember we have always had them at Christmas and Thanksgiving. They don't seem to be the super markets at any other time of the year. They are little cabbages and if you don't like cooked cabbage then you would not enjoy sprouts.
