What does yours cost

Hey
I'm looking for the cost of materials only for those that can do it themselves, the photo is me putting new oil in one of our locomotives at the Golden gate railroad Museum. In the photo you see four 55 gallon drums take 10 gallons out of one the rest goes in the locomotive, that comes out to 210 gallons at $1,500 a drum

That does not include the cost of the oil filters

Just curious, is it special oil. like a heavy weight? that comes to almost 7 a quart, which is higher than most oil at walmat.

I use 30 weight oil in a Kubota diesel engine, 5 gallons for $80 + tax.

I don't think you can find it at your local auto parts it's a zinc free oil specifically formulated for two-stroke engines

You could do a lifetime of oil changes in that for what one of these drums cost
