Autumn Vibes

If a year was tucked inside of a clock, then Autumn would be the magic hour.

Remember, every time you write a blog post, you also need to post a comment into it. If not, your blog post will not be seen or read by others.
Now, if you prefer that your post stays hidden, just dismiss what I wrote.

Thank you K. I do know all about this. I used to blog on Indian Friend Finder many years ago and then Friend Finder after that. I don’t mind if my posts stay hidden. But having said that, I really do appreciate you coming by and adding something here. I consider you to be a friend when I come to spend time on this site.

Thanks for the clarification. I also consider you as well as many others to be my online friends. If you don't mind if your post remain hidden, that is all that it matters. It is too bad since some bloggers love when you share poetry in your blog.

Thanks for sharing the quote. In Bangladesh, autumn is characterized by bright blue, green, and gold hues, and it is a time for festivities. Bangladesh is my homeland. Are you Canadian by birth?

I always liked October in NY. It was always apple and pumpkin picking season. In NC it is still warm, I enjoy my Autumn recipes though.

Indeed, it is. It also holds a lot of memories for me, both good and bad, so it's also a time of remembrance and reflection.
Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Yes, like magic the birds know it is time to migrate south in October. Soon the Canadian geese will be arriving over head in V formation here in Texas.
Nature's way of telling us to get hay into the barn. LOL
Years ago, there was a nice lady from India in a different chat site. Her brother lived in Chicago. Suchitra K. Would you by chance know her?

Thank you! It’s good to know I’m on your list K. The reason I don’t mind if my posts remain hidden is primarily because what I put in my blog is for my own enjoyment. I use it as kind of a scrapbook of sorts .. a place where I can save bits and pieces of my favourite stories, song lyrics, poetry .. there’s even some of my own writing here when I used to blog under the name Isabella. That was many years ago!
I know it probably sounds selfish of me not to share, so I think I’ll make a concerted effort going forward to add a comment each time I post. I value my time here at SFF as well as the people who come to visit my blog.

You are very welcome looklook. The colors of fall sound particularly beautiful in your country. Blue, green and gold. I can only imagine. Do you celebrate Diwali as well? It must be getting close. I have always loved the festival of lights. Such beauty!

Dear Rocket .. thank you for letting me know. As mentioned above to K .. I will make an effort going forward to add a comment to my blogs so that everyone will continue to see them. It makes my heart happy to know that others enjoy them just as much as I do.

Quoting Archer62: OCTOBER IS NOT MY FAVORITE MONTH, NO WAY.
Hi Archer .. what is your favourite month? What season speaks to your heart, calls to your soul? For me it is October .. a time when shadows start to descend and everything gets a little bit more mysterious. I love October and especially enjoy when the weather remains summer like right up until the 31st.

NY is absolutely beautiful in the fall. I agree. Loved the hayrides, apple cider and pumpkin picking out in the fields. It’s nice that you still have the warm weather in October, though I imagine it’s always warm in NC. For me, that’s what gives the season a magic glow.
Are you going to be making apple pies and cider?

That’s the paradox of life .. that something can hold both good and bad at the same time. Good and bad, light and shadow .. happy and sad. They say one cannot exist without the other .. a little something about perspective.
I hope that October brings you only good things MrsJoe. You deserve so many of them.

Speaking of birds migrating South for the winter .. I have only recently noticed that all of the little songbirds that used to use the birdfeeder in my backyard have left. There is no bird song in the morning anymore nor little feathery friends popping by throughout the day for my cats to watch as they played. I don’t know what happened but they are completely gone and I miss them. They have been part of my life for the last 4 years.
If Suchitra K was on IndianFriendFinder and Suchitra was her handle there I didn’t know her. I had a few female friends (best friends) on that site and we would hang out in the chat room for hours on end back when it was the place to be. But Suchitra doesn’t sound like a name I recognize.

Yes, Indigo, the Hindu community in my country celebrates Diwali every year, even though this is a predominantly Muslim country. The festival is also known here as Deepavali, the Festival of Lights. This year, it will be celebrated on November 1st. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance."

October is a beautiful month for sure, especially when it's bright and mild. So far our October is a bit mixed weather wise. Today is a lovely mild sunny day . I still have a lot of colour in my garden, which cheers me up no end.

Thank you for explaining the meaning behind Deepavali looklook. It has always been my favorite of the Hindu holidays.

October is my favourite when it carries the Indian summer right to the end. All the beauty of the leaves changing colour and falling to the ground combined with summer like warmth makes for a beautiful month. Happy October Maudie!
