Frozen in Time

I’m like the water when your ship rolled in that night
Ships on waters so inviting, I almost jump in
My waves meet your shore, ever and evermore
Reaching across the sea, that you put between you and me
And when I was shipwrecked, I thought of you
Hey September, guess I’m feeling unmoored.

To me September is the prelude or introduction of winter. My least favorite time of the year.

Ahhh.... Lovely soulful words~~~

Autumn is my favourite season... the colours, the smells, the sound of dried leaves crackling as you walk on them and the geese honking overhead on their way south.

I welcome the relief from the summer heat, but also dread the coming days of cold..... but Autumn remains my favorite season.

I look forward to Fall every year. That crispness in the morning air on a special day when the summer heat breaks and my attitude changes.

Me too K. I so dislike winter .. I’m a summer girl all the way! Beautiful, beautiful summer. We have something in common.

So you are someone who loves those BRRRR months. SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER, DecemBER. There is something to be said for the things you mentioned, however … give me summer all year long.

Are the leaves changing color where you are now MrsJoe? They are here. September marks the end of our carefree lazy days and the start of back to work and responsibility. I dread the cold too. I wrap up in blankets and sweaters and hide away under the covers.

Hi TxJ. It is nice to have a break from the heat. A welcome respite. How are things going with the sale of your house?

No, not yet. I did notice that the bottoms of some of the corn stalks are starting to brown, but crops were a bit late getting planted this year, so harvest will also come a bit later.
BTW, there is something about that photo you used. I can't quite describe it, but it touched my soul. I like it.

I like Spring weather. I used to like the summer best but can't take it too hot anymore. September was always my least favorite month. Kids go back to school, seems like everything was dying (leaves and fun times) I did enjoying picking apples though and seeing the pumpkins growing

SEPTEMBER IS WELCOME AFTER THE HEAT WAVES AUGUST BROUGHT. YESTERDAY WE HAD A STORM THAT COOLED THE NIGHT A LITTLE BUT IT IS STILL RATHER HOT TODAY. I MUCH PREFER FALL TO SPRING, LIFE IS GETTING BACK TO NORMAL AND I WILL BE SEEING OLD FRIENDS AGAIN.

We didn't have much of a summer here in Ireland this year. Very few sunny days, too many rainy and cold ones. Maybe September will bring some bight sunny days our way.

That’s nice. Keep the summer greens a bit longer if possible. The beautiful autumn colors will come soon enough. I am so happy you enjoyed the photo MrsJoe. It’s nice to know that I could bring a bit of light to your day. It makes my day brighter as well.

Hi Star! I feel the same. The summers are now becoming hotter and hotter and if you don’t live close to a lake or river or somewhere you can swim it can become unbearable. September to me always made me think of the end of freedom and carefree days of leisure. Back to work and responsibilities once again. Just like you, I enjoy the fall apples (what I always called Halloween apples) and pumpkins. It’s all down hill after that though until Spring comes around once again.

Hi there Archer! I am so happy for you getting to see your old friends once again. How nice is that? Something to look forward to for sure! It has been really hot here too and the cooler evenings are most welcome. It makes it easier for sleeping.

Oh my. That’s sad. Summer is short enough as it is so to have it be rainy and cold for most of it is such a shame. I hope you have a beautiful fall season. You most assuredly deserve it.

For me it's Spring, can ride the motorbikes more

There's a quote from a book about motorbikes, "Driving a car is like watching TV but riding a motorcycle is like you're the star of the movie.'

It's true, there's a great feeling of elation when I'm riding, I feel like I'm a teenager again.

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.

Enjoy that motorbike for as long as you can. The season is short. Nice quote. I feel the same way when I’m driving with the top down.
