Progress and Time Well Spent Today my and I made a good bit of progress on the hardwood floor. We might have finished, but we stopped to drive about. Early this morning auctions opened on some abandoned properties. By 9 a.m. my first choice had skyrocketed out of any range I would have gone. So we took a break and drove to site two. Pretty, three acres in the country. We went for it. By four p.m. this slower climber took off into the twilight zone. I pulled back, I had seen the place and had a good idea, I did not want to sink any more into it. So again we took a drive. This time for my . She saw a place she liked. It wasn't attracting attention. It needed work, but had great bones. So we talked and watched. It seemed to be a sleeper, not attracting any attention. So we took a shot. It did skyrocket in the end, but not unreasonably so. She got a good deal. Plenty left over for a giant bucket of elbow grease, which she will be needing. So when he teacher asks, "What did everyone do on their summer break?" She has a big story to tell. She has a lot of work to do, in the end though, she will have a lot of sweat equity. She made wise decisions today. Scary ones, but wise.

She has two years to complete her work to make a home. I have to snicker just a bit though. She detests my constant renovating. Lucky for her, I have all the tools. Lol.

It's nice to see a young person willing to invest elbow grease and time into getting a home, instead of wanting instant gratification way above their means. Momma is a good influence for her. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
