Grand Theft Auto

I had a car in the buy and sells, It is a simple and quick way to sell them. So, I thought. A woman and young man called on the vehicle, apparently needed a loan and wanted information. I had them have the bank call me. I sent the title and vin over to the bank, they approved the loan....easy .....right? The vehicle the woman came in had a dealer plate, the kind for "test" driving, interesting. They did not take much interest in the car, barely drove 50 ft. said they had others to look at. That is all fine, happens all the time in the world of buy and sell.
I may love my fellow human, trust them is a different story. I called the bank first thing in the morning, sure enough the couple had taken out a loan for the purchase price of the car and the bank had put a lien on my vehicle, which I might never have known about. They thanked me for the call, took the lien off and proceeded to follow protocol on the couple.
That is the "new" way to steal cars. Clever, but not quite clever enough.
So seller beware.........Venduer mefiez-vous!

 It was easily remedied and the bank is handling the pair. Had I not given it a second thought and called though, it could have been worse.
