Yes it was very snowy that evening to. One foot of snow fell that evening while we were traveling. I learned that from a lady at the grocery store. I just knew it was heavy and steady snow.

 IT WAS AUGUST WHEN I SAW LAKE SUPERIOR AND THE WATER WAS COLD EVEN THEN. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE IN WINTER. I HOPE IT WARMS UP SOON.

The water never is out of the 40's that I know of. WE get very few hot summer days anyway, but boating on Superior is one of the best ways to spend them. The upper tip of Lake Michigan is near my home and much warmer for a swim.

 MY FAMILY LIVED IN A CHICAGO NORTH-SHORE SUBURB THAT HAD ITS OWN BEACH AND WHEN THE WATER WAS CALM, IT COULD GET INTO THE 70'S F IN JULY AND AUGUST. NO WAY LAKE SUPERIOR COULD GET THAT HIGH EVEN WITH GLOBAL WARMING. BUT I DID SWIM IN LAKE SUPERIOR AND EVERYONE THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY. BUT I DID IT ANYHOW AND LIVED TO TELL THE TALE.
