Contemporary art?
I purchased a handmade silk shawl as a Christmas present for my . The seller is online and a true artisan judging from the many beautiful items she has listed for sale. She was kind enough to gift wrap my purchase before shipping it to me. This is a photo of the wrapped package. The decoration on the package is handmade and looking at it up close you can tell that great care was taken in crafting all of the little pieces. I'm just wondering what it is! What do you see?

Bob, Yes! Novica is where I purchased the scarf. Novica gives individual craftspeople an online presence to sell their creations. Reading through the link you provided, it appears that Novica provides the gift wrap and not the individual artisans who sell through them. In the case of my purchase, both the item and the gift wrap were very unique!

The artisan I purchased from is in Indonesia. The wrap, though, appears to be provided by her distributor which is located in California.

Maudie, yes the photos of the scarf suggest that it's really pretty but because it arrived giftwrapped I haven't seen the actual scarf yet. Hope it's as pretty as the pictures of it!

Koffla, yes I hope it's pretty! The photo is just of the gift wrapping. I haven't opened it to see the actual gift yet. I think I'll probably wait until Christmas and give my daughter the gift still wrapped, as I received it. She and I will both look forward to revealing the contents!

 I used to help people enhance design ideas and manufacture the product.
Many times, I would go to sleep thinking about a design and wake up knowing an answer to a problem.

So, a little past midnight I woke up with the answer. LOL
Those are not wings up top-----
It is definitely a great horned owl on the nest with a young one in front of it.
