I'm an eternal optimist and romantic. I will deny that I like "chic flicks" but can be seen drying my eyes at the end of the movie. I still believe girls are special and are to be cherished. My cup is always half full. I seek to wring the last drop of fun, excitement and pleasure out of all situations. I'm fun, funny and a little impetuous. I value honesty, integrity, character, intellect, humor and candor.
I live an active and exciting life. I am an ardent history buff and love to blend travel with the study of historical places and events. I like golf, flying, camping, fast cars, hanging with friends and anything associated with the water. I am currently deployed to Iraq as an Army helicopter pilot. I can say with personal knowledge, it's pretty exciting over here!
On dates, I like to find special places to take a woman, that complement her tastes and interests. I will do extensive overt and covert research to determine the perfect place. I love it when she says: "surprise me", because I will! A perfect date could be a road trip for the perfect cheeseburger or a limo to Del Frisco's, or anything in between.
I have three great (would anyone ever say they had loser ?); two grown daughters and a 10 year old , who lives with his mother. I am very close to all and they are a big part of my life.
I am equally comfortable hanging with friends, cooking together at home, spending hours talking over a bottle of red wine, working on a honey do project or going to a concert. When I am around the house I like to listen to music, usually classic rock and roll, blues or contemporary pop. When I watch TV, it is usually news, sports, history channel, cooking channel and, occasionally, I will get hooked on a good series like Boston Legal or Lost.
After 25 years in the North Dallas rat race, I now live in a small town south of Fort Worth, and love the people and the pace. Life is easy like Sunday morning. I have the greatest neighbors in the world. They are taking care of my house while i am in Iraq.
I am retired from my corporate job in advertising and marketing and hope to never wear a suit and tie again. I will retire from the military shortly after I return to Texas in August. I will, however, never stop working. I currently have a small real estate business buying and selling houses. It's fun and I can set my own schedule and do as much or as little work as I choose. My life dream is to have my own hamburger joint, which I will do at some point. I am still experimenting with the techniques and ingredients for the perfect burger. I am very comfortable financially and enjoy a simple lifestyle.
My life philosophy is simple. I pretty much go with the flow, have fun and believe that you get the love you give, whether it's with friends, family or lovers.

I am looking for a very special woman who would like to start off slow, and continue to develop a meaningful friendship that would eventually lead to a committed relationship. The ideal partner for me would be a healthy, confident, attractive, out going positive thinker. She would have a youthful spirit and an adventurous and creative mind. She will also have a warm and gentle heart, and a passion for life. And, she will be her own woman. We will agree on most things (the important ones for sure) and agree to disagree on the others.
