I am an easy-going person with a great sense of humor and a zest for life. While I have been a widow for 6 years, I have maintained a wide circle of friends, lead an active life, and make a decent attempt at keeping fit. I'm doubly blessed with two wonderful grown children and two grandchildren but unfortunately for me they live out of the area. My part-time job in college health keeps me in touch with young people, and their capacity to embrace life is a source of inspiration to me - it seems to keep my spirit fresh. When I am at home I enjoy reading, quilting, soduko puzzles, and the companionship of my two cats.
My Ideal Person:
I am obviously looking for someone to share some of the activities that I particularly enjoy like dining out, going to concerts (all kinds - classical, jazz, folk), travel both foreign and domestic, hiking, gardening, and birding. Education, kindness, warmth, and a sense of humor rate high on my list of "must haves" in a potential partner, and these are also traits that I feel are a part of my character. Sharing all these activities could be a joy with the right person, and ultimately I am hoping for a serious relationship.
