I still work full time as a Quality Assurance Coordinator for the state mental hospital which is a fitting conclusion to my career. Most of my free time is doing things alone such as pastel and oil painting and taking photographs to paint. I just won 2nd place pastel in an local art contest. I have been trying to complete an unpublished historical manuscript since 1991. I use my computer and watch a lot of TV. I want to have more social contact during my free time. I can afford and enjoy music, non-violent movies and eating out. Laughing makes me feel good so I consider it a required daily exercise.
My Ideal Person:
Most of all, I enjoy being with individual(s) who have a good sense of humor and don't take themselves and others too intensively serious. Over 60 we all have our diagnoses and pills, but I prefer not to talk about it or be with someone who wants to talk about it ALL the time (A little goes a long way). I want to be with or talk to individual(s) who still enjoy small size challenges rather than keeping the routine from changing. What other people call arguing, I call DISCUSSING controversial issues, so listening and talking is a form of sharing and bonding that I enjoy.
