It took a while to relax into it, but I'm finally getting the hang of retirement. Still dreaming, and preparing, for rural living. I learned to harness, hitch and drive a team of Percherons last year. You never know. Meanwhile, I continue to translate classic Chinese poetry, practice my rudientary Sanskrit, and meet the daily challenges of living with parrots and dogs. And I'm still grappling with the notion of right living in these very strange times. My deepest hope is to find or attract a multigenerational community of like minded souls.
My Ideal Person:
The star man of my dreams is clear sighted. He uses humor and gentleness to flow around obstacles rather than aggression or force to conquer them. His spirituality is rooted in the ancient traditions of the east, Hindu, Buddhist, Tao. He is not acquisitive, but has a keen appreciation for the beauty, harmony and grace of this world. He's an old soul, seasoned, enlightened and humble.
