I have an independent nature with eclectic tastes, varied living experiences and pretty much accept everyone as they are or present themselves. After many careers abroad and in the U.S. I'm now involved in real estate investing. I buy, remodel and sell houses. If I invite you over for dinner and ask that you dress appropriately it may mean clinging and suggestive or coveralls and hard hat. Although shy about online matching, anything new has always been a great attraction. Church, volunteering, making furniture and remodeling take up much of my time but I always find time for grand opera, lectures, theater, scrabble, chatty conversations, dinner followed by a movie, and ballroom dancing (looking for a partner to join me in tango classes). Former partners have described me as the most exciting man they have ever known and a "really nice guy". The truth is somewhere in there and I'm always open to another opinion. My life philosophy is "To get ahead in this world you have to be oh so smart or oh so nice. I found nice to be better". I offer manners, dimples, a sense of humor, lots of stories and the ability to shut up and listen. I'm looking for a theater and dining companion, friend and confidant.
My Ideal Person
My ideal match would be a full time friend and some time companion. Someone who has had enough good relationships to try again. She believes that learning is lifelong but it should be purposeful to be worthwhile. She sets a beautiful table because it pleases her not as a way to impress. Knows what a good time is and welcomes it. Takes chances, trusts her instincts and understands that anyone without "baggage" is probably very boring. I look for balance. You may think you are not attractive but dead sure about how bright and successful you are. Or, you may think you have not done as well in life as you should have but understand why all the men take a peek at you when you enter a restaurant - and you inwardly smile. There are many events and experiences out there, all of which would be more enjoyable with your company.
